Bashar Ali

My current work tackles the action of scrolling through the images that we see online, as they overlap with each other. Do we really get to see the image as it’s intended? What might have been a private post for a single viewer is now overlapped with others with the same vulnerabilities and intimacies that weren’t intended to be shared online.

I’m a self taught artist/writer born in Baghdad but grew up in London. I’m driven by identity and what it means to us through the forms that we use to reveal ourselves.”
